Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy
Effective Date: January 01, 2024
Last Updated: October 13, 2026
1. Introduction
APPUPNEXT is committed to providing customers with a convenient, transparent, and reliable purchasing experience. This Cash on Delivery (COD) Policy explains the terms and conditions applicable when customers choose to pay for eligible products upon delivery.
APPUPNEXT started its business journey in 2018 and provides digital products, software solutions, website development services, and technology-related services to customers worldwide.
Cash on Delivery allows eligible customers to pay the applicable amount when they receive an order, subject to product availability, delivery coverage, and the conditions specified in the relevant product listing or order confirmation.
This policy should be read together with the APPUPNEXT Payment Policy, Delivery Policy, Shipping Policy, Cancellation Policy, Return Policy, Refund Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
2. Availability of Cash on Delivery
Cash on Delivery may be available for eligible physical products and orders delivered to supported locations.
COD availability depends on the product, seller, delivery provider, destination, order value, and other applicable conditions.
The COD option may not be available for:
-
Digital products, including website themes, templates, software, and downloadable files.
-
Website development and other customized digital services.
-
Domain registration, hosting subscriptions, and third-party service fees.
-
Pre-orders or products requiring advance payment.
-
Orders outside supported delivery areas.
-
Orders that require full or partial advance payment under an approved quotation or agreement.
-
Products or services for which COD is not offered by the relevant seller or delivery provider.
Customers should check the available payment methods during checkout or contact APPUPNEXT before placing an order if they are unsure whether COD is supported.
3. How Cash on Delivery Works
Customers selecting Cash on Delivery agree to pay the applicable amount when the order is delivered.
The usual process is as follows:
-
Place an Order: Select an eligible product and choose Cash on Delivery at checkout, where available.
-
Order Verification: APPUPNEXT or the relevant seller may verify the order and contact details.
-
Order Processing: The order is prepared for dispatch after the required verification.
-
Shipment and Delivery: The product is dispatched to the address provided by the customer.
-
Payment on Receipt: The customer pays the applicable COD amount to the authorized delivery representative.
-
Order Completion: The order is marked as delivered after the delivery and payment process is completed.
Order acceptance, dispatch, and delivery remain subject to product availability and the applicable fulfillment conditions.
4. COD Payment Amount
The amount payable upon delivery will be communicated through the checkout page, order confirmation, invoice, or authorized communication channel.
Depending on the order, the total amount may include:
-
Product price.
-
Applicable delivery or shipping charges.
-
COD service charges, if disclosed and applicable.
-
Applicable taxes or other disclosed fees.
-
Any outstanding amount confirmed under the relevant order agreement.
Customers should review the final payable amount before confirming their orders.
APPUPNEXT will not intentionally impose undisclosed additional charges on a confirmed order. If an order's payable amount requires a material change, the customer may be contacted for confirmation before proceeding, where appropriate.
5. Order Confirmation and Verification
APPUPNEXT or an authorized seller may contact customers by telephone, SMS, email, or another authorized communication channel to verify COD orders.
Verification may include confirming:
-
Customer name and contact number.
-
Delivery address and service area.
-
Product selection and quantity.
-
Total payable amount.
-
Availability of someone to receive the delivery.
-
Any special delivery instructions.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and responding to reasonable verification requests.
Orders with incomplete information, unverifiable contact details, or suspected fraudulent activity may be delayed, placed on hold, or cancelled in accordance with applicable terms.
6. Delivery Address and Contact Information
Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address, including relevant address details, area, city, postal code where applicable, and a valid contact number.
Customers should ensure that someone is available to receive the order at the designated address during the delivery period.
If the customer needs to change the delivery address or contact number after placing an order, they should contact APPUPNEXT or the relevant seller as soon as possible.
Address changes may not be possible after dispatch and may result in additional delivery charges where permitted and disclosed.
7. Payment Methods at Delivery
COD payments must be made through the payment method supported by the authorized delivery provider.
Depending on the delivery arrangement, payment may be accepted in cash or through another explicitly supported method.
Customers should:
-
Pay only the amount shown in the confirmed order or authorized delivery record.
-
Request an available receipt or payment confirmation.
-
Avoid sending money to unauthorized personal accounts.
-
Never share banking passwords, PINs, OTPs, or payment authentication codes with delivery personnel.
Where a delivery provider does not support card, mobile banking, or QR payments at the doorstep, customers must use an accepted payment method.
8. Inspection of Products Upon Delivery
Customers should check the delivered package and product for visible damage, missing items, or an apparent mismatch with the confirmed order.
Where practical and permitted by the delivery provider, customers should report visible issues before completing the delivery process.
Opening or inspecting a sealed package may be subject to the delivery provider's procedures and the applicable product conditions.
If a product is visibly damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, customers should document the issue and contact APPUPNEXT through an authorized support channel as soon as reasonably possible.
Any remedy will be assessed under the applicable Product Policy, Replacement Policy, Warranty Policy, Return Policy, and Refund Policy.
9. Refusal to Accept a COD Order
Customers should accept a COD delivery when the order matches the confirmed purchase and the applicable terms.
A customer may have legitimate reasons to refuse a delivery, including a materially incorrect product, visible shipping damage, or a significant discrepancy in the authorized payable amount.
Customers who no longer wish to receive an order should request cancellation before dispatch whenever possible.
Unjustified refusal, repeated failed deliveries, or deliberate misuse of COD may result in additional verification, restricted COD availability, or other reasonable measures consistent with applicable law and the relevant agreement.
This section does not remove any mandatory consumer rights.
10. Failed Delivery and Re-delivery
A delivery may fail if:
-
The customer is unavailable at the delivery address.
-
The provided address is incomplete or incorrect.
-
The customer's phone is unreachable.
-
The customer refuses an otherwise conforming order.
-
The delivery provider cannot access the delivery location.
-
An unexpected logistical or operational issue occurs.
Where available, the delivery provider may attempt re-delivery according to its own procedures.
Additional delivery charges may apply to repeated delivery attempts only where permitted by the applicable terms and properly disclosed.
If delivery cannot be completed, the order may be returned to the seller or cancelled. Any payment already collected, cancellation, or refund will be handled under the relevant policies.
11. Order Cancellation
Customers who wish to cancel a COD order should contact APPUPNEXT or the relevant seller as early as possible.
Cancellation may be straightforward before order processing or dispatch. After dispatch, cancellation may depend on the delivery provider's procedures and whether the shipment can be stopped or returned.
Customized products, pre-orders, and specially prepared items may be subject to additional cancellation conditions communicated before purchase.
For further details, customers should refer to the APPUPNEXT Cancellation Policy.
12. Returns, Refunds, and Replacements
Cash on Delivery is a payment method and does not independently determine whether an order qualifies for a return, refund, or replacement.
Eligibility depends on the product type, reason for the request, order conditions, applicable policy, and relevant law.
For eligible requests:
-
Returns: Must comply with the applicable Return Policy.
-
Refunds: Will be assessed under the Refund Policy and any applicable legal requirements.
-
Replacements: Will be assessed under the Replacement Policy and Warranty Policy.
For a COD purchase, APPUPNEXT may request appropriate payment details to process an approved refund through an available method. Customers should provide only the information reasonably required for the transaction through an authorized channel.
13. COD for Marketplace and Third-Party Sellers
Where APPUPNEXT facilitates purchases from third-party sellers or marketplace participants, COD availability may depend on the seller's fulfillment arrangements and the delivery provider's coverage.
The relevant seller may be responsible for product preparation, packaging, and fulfillment, while the delivery provider may handle collection and remittance of the COD payment.
Seller-specific conditions may apply, provided they are communicated appropriately and do not conflict with applicable law or binding platform obligations.
Customers should review the seller's information and the order confirmation before placing a COD order.
14. Fraud Prevention and Misuse
APPUPNEXT may take reasonable steps to protect customers, sellers, and delivery partners against fraudulent orders and payment abuse.
Such steps may include:
-
Verifying order details.
-
Confirming customer contact information.
-
Reviewing repeated failed deliveries.
-
Requesting additional confirmation for unusual orders.
-
Temporarily restricting COD for orders that present a reasonable fraud risk.
Customers must not place false orders, impersonate other individuals, provide deliberately incorrect delivery information, or use COD to facilitate unlawful activity.
Any restrictions will be applied in accordance with applicable law and the relevant contractual terms.
15. Delivery Delays and External Circumstances
Delivery times may be affected by weather, transportation disruptions, public holidays, operational delays, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside APPUPNEXT's reasonable control.
APPUPNEXT and its delivery partners will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delivery issues when practicable.
Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed as binding in writing.
